THE STAFF

Though the nursery has changed over the years to fall in line with all up to date care and education requirements, the quality of care is still second to none.

Staff members are very carefully chosen to match the nursery aims and philosophy. The staff/child ratio is 1:3 for children aged 18 months to 2 years, 1:4 for 2-3 years and 1:8 for children over 3.

Staff are qualified to either NNEB, NVQ2 or NVQ3 level and hold First Aid certificates. Between them they have many years of experience and continuously seek to improve and update their knowledge by attending training courses.

Their years of service range from 2 to 8 years and they are all totally dedicated to their work as well as caring, honest and trustworthy. The nursery is very fortunate to have such loyal members of staff and parents value and appreciate their expertise as well as their sense of fun and good humour.

The nursery also has trainees who are employed under the 'modern apprenticeship' scheme for a minimum of two years working towards their NVQ2 and/or NVQ3 in child care, and they are very important members of the team.
